NEC CRS-3000

Quick Service

Low Profile, Space Saving Design

The attractive and compact CRS 3000 will compliment any food service counter. About the size of a legal note pad and less than six inches high, the CRS 3000 will use only about one half the counter space of other quick service systems.

Eight Line Operator Screen

With an eight line, forty character screen, first time operators are productive immediately. The items you enter appear on the screen for easy viewing and confirmation. So what you see is what you serve.

Fast Training for New Employees

Training is fast with the eight line operator display. Pop-up windows insure that you offer the right choices for each item. In addition, a "training mode" allows hands-on practice without disrupting totals and counters.

Quick, Easy Menu Maintenance

Changing prices or adding new items? CRS 3000 programming screens are menu driven and easy to follow. You simply enter changes by typing on the keyboard using a special keyboard overlay.

Large Flexible Keyboard

The 120 key position keyboard is completely programmable to your specific menu and operation requirements. Five levels are available for different menus. If your menu is large, you can use pop-up windows to list condiments, instructions, or flavors on the screen, leaving keyboard space free for other menu items or functions.

Fast, Accurate Order Entry

With CRS's unique pop-up screens, you can automatically display selections for condiments, instructions, or flavors after you enter an item. Your operator can easily help your customer with their order, selecting only from the choices available, in the correct size or flavor, and at the correct price. Plus, you can use pop-up windows to prompt your operators to "suggestive sell" additional items.

Programmable Display Keys Provide Flexibility for Fast Order Throughput and Transaction Control

The CRS 3000 Table Look-Up function conserves keyboard space. Now you don't need to have a large confusing keyboard to enter your customer's order. Each key on the CRS 3000 can be programmed to display up to 7 function keys or menu items! For example, one key can be simply labeled "Manager". Using a special key the manager can access up to 7 functions from that keyboard location. This provides 6 additional keyboard locations for menu items or other functions. And since there are five levels on the CRS 3000 system, these manager functions can actually be completely hidden off the keyboard.

Large complex menus can be simplified with the table look-up function too. For example, one key can be labeled "yogurt". When the operator depresses "yogurt" up to seven choices can be displayed. Only CRS offers simplicity in a compact package that also provides the detailed accuracy needed to operate your restaurant.

Powerful Kitchen Video Requisition System

CRS has taken a modular approach to system design, to take advantage of current technology and to provide you with the best value.

Off the shelf hardware has been enhanced to form a very extensive kitchen preparation and expediter packing video system.

  • Real-time- Menu items can be sent to the video on the fly to speed service
  • 14" colour display can show items in different colours for cooking, packing, priority or emphasis.
  • Eight order screen format for cooking displays the items prepared only at that station.
  • Four order screen format displays all items in the order for packing/expediting.
  • Split screen format separates drive-thru and counter orders for quick packing or traying.
  • Park screen format for the drive-thru holds orders for preparation while other cars move through.

Easy to Read Reports

Economical 40 column printers may be used for management reports, receipts, requisitions or a sales journal. Clear, concise and detailed management reports are easy to balance and easy to read - much easier to read than reports on narrow cash register tapes.

Flexible Printing Capabilities

Off the shelf Citizen and Epson printers are used for all printing tasks.

  • Industry standard RS-232 interface
  • Two-colour print for receipts and kitchen requisitions
  • Journal print mode for tracking sales
  • Thermal print for very fast and quiet receipt printing
  • 40-columns wide for easy reading
  • Despot serviceable printers are easily interchanged. (No switches to be set to identify a printer to the system)

Flexible System Configuration

Industry standard RS-232 communications allow you to configure your system exactly to your needs today, with flexibility to expand for the future. You can share system printers for several functions. For example, the kitchen requisition printer can also print your end of day reports and customer receipts.
